A three-bay fire station built while the crew it houses stayed operational out of a temporary facility next door.

A fire station is a workplace, a dormitory and a garage for equipment worth more than the building. The crew who would live in it had strong views, and they were right about most of them.

The decontamination suite

Cancer rates among firefighters are the reason modern stations separate turnout gear from living space rigorously. The crew walked our layout and moved the boundary twice. Both changes were better than the drawing, and neither cost anything because we were still in preconstruction.
