What we pay, roughly
Superintendents start at $105,000 and run to $145,000 depending on the sector and how much occupied-building work you have done. Project engineers start at $68,000. We publish these because a job advert that says "competitive salary" is wasting everyone’s afternoon.
What the job actually is
Most of our work is in buildings that cannot close, which means night windows, phased handovers, and a client who is a nurse manager rather than a developer. It is more coordination and less demolition than the equivalent job at a firm doing ground-up only. Some people prefer it. Some people very much do not, and it is better to know that before you take the job.
What we will not do
We will not put you on a job three hours away and call it a commute. We have never opened an office outside West Michigan and have no plans to. If you want to build in other states, we are the wrong firm and there is no hard feeling in saying so.
