Twenty-four classrooms and a media centre, built through two school years on a campus that never stopped teaching.
A bond issue paid for it, which meant the budget was public, the schedule was public, and the building had to be ready the week teachers came back.
Working around a school day
Deliveries were banned between 7:00 and 8:15 and again between 2:30 and 3:45, every day, for nineteen months. That is not a small constraint on a $29M job, and it shaped the logistics plan more than anything else on site.
We staged materials on the far practice field and ran a single haul route that never crossed a pedestrian path. The district asked for a written traffic plan; we gave them one that was updated weekly and posted where parents could read it.
